Daily sketch journal

These sketches were made during the first UK lockdown in 2020
and feature everyday household items

I produced my daily sketch journal during the first Covid 19 lockdown in the UK, when most people were stuck within their home environments. As I was not able to get out and sketch plein-air in my usual way, I decided to sketch every day items in the house and garden that reflected or formed part of my day, using the principal that there is a beauty in such things that we all take for granted. This daily practice really helped me get through the severe restrictions imposed on all of our lives at the time.
